Our region

From Roman times to nowadays, the landscapes of the Uzège region, rooted in history, have inspired stunning architectural feats, where each generation leaves its mark, for example Uzès, known as the city of art, with its duchy and cathedral (120.000 visitors per year) and the Pont du Gard (1.500.000 visitors).
The sunny climate and the quality of life make this region a privileged area of Languedoc Roussillon. Those who are born here often stay here for generations, and often those who discover the region during a touristic stay end up wanting a secondary residence here, or even take the plunge and move here for good.
1 hour is the average time it takes to get to the sea, the mountains, the bigger cities, railway transport, airports. We are at the centre of everything.

The history of the Uzège-Pont du Gard area stems from the willingness of several municipalities to come together to support the tourism development of the territory, in a shared and concerted manner. Today, this intercommunal structure is composed of 48 communes.
